Well, Congress is up to their old tricks again. I rest my case on a cursory reading of two proposed national sales tax bills, H.R. 2525, The Fair Tax Act of 2001, introduced by Mr. Linder (R) of Georgia, and H.R. 2717, The Individual Tax Freedom Act of 2001, introduced by Mr. Tauzin (R) of Louisiana. Now it is obvious to the most casual observer that the income tax, a mighty tugboat for the Ship of State, is all but dead in the water. Congress must soon find a suitable (for them?) replacement. Both proposed bills fly the “Anti-Income Tax—National Sales Tax” banner. But just beneath their legalese waterlines you can spot their real intent: Big business, read big contributors, are the big winners. No more corporate income taxes, no more capital gains taxes, no more depreciation schedules to keep, less paperwork on employee withholding, and NO national sales taxes on any business investments. Surprise! Surprise! For the real people, it’s business as usual: We must still suffer under unnecessary paper work, summons and examinations, arbitrary (read politically) exercised audits, and a national sales tax on contract labor which amounts to an income tax under another name! In short, these bills maintain continued bureaucratic control over the lives of the American people. Politicians can deal with a little more uncertainty in the amount of revenue extorted because they can always make small cuts on government spending in big areas. Of course, the pork barrels must remain full. But the thought of losing their power of social dictatorship in the guise of raising revenue is a frightening threat to them. NESARA is the only plan that offers real change and real freedom! In the next congressional election, the members of Congress get another chance to meet the real contributors—the voters. The voters will demand something for themselves: NESARA Esther |
