Because of the events of the past several weeks, many people are operating in crisis mode. In the 1840s, Charles Mackay wrote a book titled Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds. The title easily describes current events. In the Preface to his book, Mackay stated that his objective was “to collect the most remarkable instances of those moral epidemics which have been excited, sometimes by one cause and sometimes by another, and to show how easily the masses have been led astray, and how imitative and gregarious men are, even in infatuations and crimes.” [emphasis added.] Regarding national events, when people operate in the manner described by Mackay, two things are likely to happen:
We’ve already seen both possibilities come true. Discussions of “temporary” security measures are running rampant. Liberty is a secondary issue; security and ending terrorism are “paramount.” Recently the news carried a story about two Ryder trucks being searched on a highway. No warrants. Free speech and the expression of certain libertarian ideas have become insupportable. If you do not believe so, go to the local mall wearing an anti-war logo, or call a radio talk show with an anti-war opinion. Dare mention the word “interventionist” and see what happens. The attack of September 11 was economic in nature and the government’s existing monetary tools are insufficient for the recovery task. Congress and the Fed continue to prove this daily. Meanwhile, I see an excellent opportunity to implement NESARA. Currently the Fed is cutting interest rates, essentially firing almost all weapons with little effect so far. In addition to circumventing freedom and liberty, Congress is trying to pump cash into the economy. If their actions should take hold too fast we could suddenly face massive inflation. NESARA provides appropriate tools for a $1 trillion economic stimulus and simultaneously increases the stability of the system. And, incidentally, NESARA provides an increase in personal freedom offsetting some of the loses due to security concerns. Now is not the time to remain quiet. Now is the time to speak up. Now is the time to pester representatives. They continue to waste their efforts in counterproductive legislation and without an adequate plan to resolve the current economic situation. Tell them about NESARA. Place a copy in their hands. And if they respond with “thanks, but no thanks” tell them your response to their reelection efforts will be the same. Brutus |
